Master Teacher/Instructor for UTeachTech, a National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) and Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) funded project coordinated through the Science and Technology Education Center (SciTEC) housed within the College of Education (COE).
The purpose of the position is to serve as a 9-month STEM-focused non-tenure track
instructor and project collaborator. Evaluation of the contract and position will
1. Teach and/or Co-Teach UTeachTech related and STEM-focused courses,
2. Provide support for UTeachTech student groups and collaborative STEM initiatives,
3. Collaborate with campus partners and colleagues through SciTEC in the COE to expand research, funding, and publications associated with STEM education.
Qualifications include, at minimum, a Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Education or
a STEM-related discipline; At least five years of classroom experience at a PK-12
level; Demonstrated success as a district and/or state leader in STEM education. Applicants
must have a strong desire to assist students in achieving their goals, excellent communication
skills, imagination, creative problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Pay will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
