Position Announcement

Rank:    Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems (CIS).

Assignment: Preference will be given to candidates who can contribute to our Information Assurance program by teaching courses such as Information Assurance, Risk Management, Cryptography and Digital Forensics and/or teach classes in networking or data analytics. Expertise in other areas will be considered. Research productivity is also required.

Employment Date: September 2017

Qualifications:      The minimum qualification is a doctorate in Information Systems, or a closely related field, from an AACSB international accredited program. Doctorate must be completed by employment date above. Proven research productivity and/or demonstrated research potential is also required. Previous teaching experience and commitment to classroom teaching (including proficiency in written and spoken English) is essential.

College of Business:    The graduate and undergraduate programs are fully accredited by AACSB International. The College also offers the only doctoral program in the northern part of Louisiana and has been designated as an Area of University Excellence.  The college offers BS, MBA, DBA, and Graduate Certificate Programs in Information Assurance and Communication Systems. The  College is a NSA/DHS National Center of Excellence in Information Assurance Education.

Locale: Louisiana Tech University is a medium-sized university (approximately 11,000 students) whose College of Business is located in a two year old, state-of-the-art facility with funding approved for expansion in 2015. Located in Ruston, Louisiana, the University is part of growing, pleasant community offering excellent family living conditions, quality schools and medical facilities. Ruston is on Interstate 20, thirty miles west of Monroe and sixty-five miles east of
