The Department of Kinesiology at Louisiana Tech University is seeking a tenure-track
faculty member in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Performance to begin
September 1, 2017. Specific areas of interest that are complementary to our current
faculty’s expertise include exercise and sport nutrition, exercise prescription, sport
performance, sport physiology, sport science, and strength and conditioning.
Position: Assistant Professor. Tenure-track. Nine-month appointment.
Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all tenure-track faculty include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising undergraduate students, supervising graduate students, curriculum development, and mentor junior faculty, while maintaining a productive research program. Additional responsibilities include committee service and, depending on appointment level, leadership at departmental, college, and/or university levels.
Qualifications: Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a closely related field (ABD will be considered). Successful candidates must show ability to develop or have had success in publishing in relevant peer-reviewed journals, a record of submitting proposals for internal or external funding. Applicants who are ABD will be considered with the expectation that the doctorate will be completed within the first year of employment.
