Position:  Eminent Scholar Chair

Rank:  Associate or Full Professor of Accountancy

Assignment:  To engage in scholarly research leading to publication in top tier journals, to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, to provide leadership to doctoral students and to develop external visibility of accounting programs.  All specialty areas of accounting will be considered.
Position Status:  Subject to final budgetary approval, effective September 1, 2017. Qualifications:  PhD or DBA in accounting from an AACSB International accredited
program and an established research record demonstrated via publication in high quality scholarly accounting journals.  The successful applicant must have a national/international reputation as an eminent scholar in accounting, a record of prominent leadership roles in the profession, a record of external research or recognition for innovation in teaching and development of grants and awards.

Locale:  Louisiana Tech is designated as a Tier 1 national university by the 2015 U.S. News & World Report college rankings and has an enrollment of approximately 12,500 students.  The School of Accountancy, which is part of the College of Business, is located in a two year old, state-of-the-art facility with an expansion underway.  The School offers undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees.  Located in Ruston, Louisiana, the University is part of growing, pleasant community offering excellent family living conditions, quality schools and medical facilities.  Ruston is on Interstate 20, thirty miles west of Monroe and sixty-five miles east of Shreveport.
