Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Leadership
Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership
Position: The purpose of the position is to serve as an associate professor of educational leadership and to engage in teaching, service, and scholarship appropriate to the rank and field of study.
Responsibilities: Maintain a full teaching load within the Master of Education and Doctor of Education programs. Advise undergraduate and graduate students. Serve on dissertation committees. Engage in empirical research. Engage in community and professional service. Participate in accreditation activities. Actively participate as a member of the departmental professional learning community.
Required Qualifications: Hold a terminal degree (EdD or PhD) in educational leadership, or a closely related field. Demonstrate ability to teach quantitative research methods courses and to direct Ed D candidates’ development of research methodologies.
Desired Qualifications: Document significant leadership experiences within an educational context (PK-12 or higher education administration preferred), significant experiences developing and working within partnerships with schools, industry and other community constituencies, ability to collaborate with a range of school and community leaders, strong communications and organizational skills, and successful experience with program development.
Department, College, and University: The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership is one of three departments within the College of Education and offers a number of undergraduate and master’s-level programs as well as a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership.
