The Department of Kinesiology at Louisiana Tech University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Biomechanics with support expertise in Exercise Physiology or Motor Control to begin September 2017.
Position: Assistant Professor. Tenure-track. Nine-month appointment.
Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all tenure-track faculty include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising undergraduate students, supervising graduate students, curriculum development, while maintaining productive research program. Additional responsibilities include committee service at departmental, college, and/or university levels.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an earned doctorate degree in Kinesiology (Biomechanics emphasis) or related discipline (ABD will be considered). Successful candidates must show ability to develop a focused line of research, publish in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a record of submitting proposals for internal or external funding. ABD applicants will be considered with the expectation that the doctorate will be completed within the first year of employment.
