Announces Search for Scholarship Coordinator
Office of Financial Aid
Louisiana Tech University is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and forward-thinking
individual to serve as the Scholarship Coordinator / Financial Aid Counselor in the
Office of Financial Aid. This individual will be responsible for the managing and
accounting roughly 1 million dollars in foundation scholarships; insuring that awards
are current and appropriate; reporting the awards to federal and state agencies for
funding and recording on the institutional systems for accounting purposes.
This person will represent the University at various outreach events throughout the
year by making presentations and / or providing individual information to parents
and students.
Basic requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Hands-on experience with
PC based information systems, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, solid written
and verbal communication skills, collaborative ability and ingenuity. Must be able
to drive an automobile and carry materials to make presentations at remote sites.
Bonus skills/experience: PowerFAIDS and/or Academic Works software knowledge, Student
Information System user experience, successful experience in a financial aid office.
