Responsibilities: This entry to mid-level position will assist in the marketing of LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY locally, regionally, and nationally. Candidates must be able to travel extensively throughout Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, and other nearby states and represent Louisiana Tech at private high school and community college visits as well as at high school and transfer college fairs. Successful candidates will be able to promote LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY through special events some of which take place during the evening and on weekends. Admissions recruiters are also responsible for greeting prospective students and their families when they visit campus as well as communicating with students and families in their recruiting territories by phone, email, text, and social media.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Previous experience in college admission or orientation desired
• Excellent communication skills and extremely detail-oriented
• Strong customer service and people skills
• Proven ability to plan, work, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated interpersonal and team-work skills
• Familiarity with higher education desirable
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends
