Louisiana Tech University, a NCAA Division 1 member of Conference USA, is seeking candidates for Director of Basketball-Strength & Conditioning Coach. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Responsibilities will include overseeing the development and implementation of strength and conditioning for Men’s and Women’s Basketball at Louisiana Tech University, as well as assist with strength and conditioning programs for Olympic sports. Must provide proper supervision, along with innovative techniques and training methods to improve speed, agility, conditioning, strength and mental toughness. Counsels and educates athletes on proper nutrition habits to increase performance, for both in-season and off-season training. Excellent oral and written communication skills working closely with all athletic coaches, athletic trainers and administrators. Rehabilitation of any injured athletes. Certified by nationally recognize organization, NSCA or CSCCA. Implementation of Strength and Conditioning Program in Division I Men’s & Women’s Basketball Programs, ensuring that all areas of the Athletics Department demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, C-USA, Louisiana Tech and State of Louisiana rules and regulations. Oversee strength & conditioning intern, required.
