POSITION:  HVAC/Refrigeration Master Mechanic

DEPARTMENT: Physical Plant

MINIMUM:  $20.00 *(SER)

NOTE: LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY HAS A SPECIAL ENTRANCE RATE (SER) IN PLACE FOR OUR HVAC/REFRIGERATIN MASTER MECHANIC POSITION.  THE STARTING HOURLY RATE IS $20.00/HOUR INSTEAD OF THE MINIMUM LISTED.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air conditioning systems.

SUBSTITUTIONS:   Training in the installation, operation and/or maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience on a month for month basis.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: As of November 14, 1994 employees must possess the appropriate EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification for technicians (as required under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, 1990).
