Counselor/Coordinator of Career Development
Assist students through individual and group counseling for educational, career and personal concerns, including appropriate assessment administration, maintaining confidential records, and providing crisis intervention as needed.
To provide/coordinate/promote career development/decision-making resources, including workshops, groups, classroom presentations, and individual career counseling
Assess, acquire, and maintain state of the art technology for effective career development service delivery including Career Resource Lab, coordination of career development web site and assist in purchase/support of online resources and other career assessments
Support career development/job search resources including resume seminars/review, interview/mock interview seminar, Career Days, collaboration with academic areas and corporate representatives
Qualifications include a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling or related field; five years of counseling experience; experience with college/university population; knowledge and experience in the field of career development; hold or are eligible for state Professional Counselor License (required). Skills needed also include strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with students, university faculty/staff, and community members.
