Assistant Vice President for Academic Advancement and Partnerships
The Assistant Vice President for Academic Advancement and Partnerships (AVP) is responsible for the development, coordination, and direction of instructional sites, including the Tech Academic Success Center in Bossier City, the Shreveport Center, and the Tech Barksdale program. The AVP will assess and provide guidance for extension activities and programs, dual enrollment, online and remote programs; and develop institutional strategies to ensure the quality, accountability, and viability of academic pathways, initiatives, and partnerships. These initiatives will function in direct support of Louisiana Tech’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. The AVP will provide centralized supervision and guidance for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of existing and new initiatives to ensure that all constituents participate in high quality educational and professional development experiences. Reporting to the Provost, the AVP will be a key resource and catalyst in establishing institutional priorities and policy formulation related to these activities and programs. Qualified candidates will have a doctorate degree in higher education or a closely related field, a minimum of five years of demonstrable experience in academic administration, evidence of institutional knowledge of academic principles, policies, and best practices; systems thinking; relationship management skills; superior communication skills, and capacity for leadership.
