Transfer Admissions Coordinator

Louisiana Tech University invites applications from highly dynamic individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment to apply for the position of Transfer Admissions Coordinator. Louisiana Tech was established by the State Legislature in 1894 and is ranked by U. S. News and World Report as a Tier One research university among “National Universities.” The University serves a diverse population of approximately 13,000 students and 950 faculty and staff.

Responsibilities: This entry to mid-level position will coordinate the administrative, scholarship, and recruiting needs of the transfer, re-admit, and post-baccalaureate populations to Louisiana Tech University. Applicants must be willing to live or re-locate to Ruston, LA. Candidates must be able to exhibit time management and organizational skills in order to coordinate both the processing side of transfer, re-admit, and post-baccalaureate applications in addition to the recruitment of transfer students. Successful candidates will be able to promote Louisiana Tech University through recruitment visits, some of which may take place during the evening and on weekends, in addition to working actively with our senior colleges concerning course articulation. The Transfer Admissions Coordinator is also responsible for greeting campus visitors, discussing academic opportunities, speaking in front of groups, communicating with prospective students and their families via phone, text, and social media, in addition to other identified responsibilities.
