Louisiana Tech University, a Division 1-A member of Conference USA is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Bachelor’s degree is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics, business operations or human resources is preferred.
Responsible for effective and efficient operations of athletic department daily business operations. Ensure all areas of the athletics department demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, C-USA, Louisiana Tech and the State of Louisiana rules and regulations. Superb communication skills, verbal and written is a requirement.
Job Duties include but are not limited to the following;
Candidate will be responsible for accuracy of all purchase requisitions and travel expense accounts. Assist with budget reports and special projects to the AD and CFO as needed. Review expenditures requests throughout the year, including travel requests, operating and supplies, equipment purchases, and professional services requests. Responsible for coordinating Team and Unit Adidas orders. Oversight of travel arrangements for team and department needs. Balance cash advances on a monthly basis. Coordinates athletic competition contracts. Assist with game management, and various events associated with athletic operations. Perform administrative functions such as travel reports, supply requisitions, and check request forms. Must maintain confidentiality. Coordinates and supervises all departmental Human Resource operations. Responsible for the management and compliance of official Business and HR records.
Liaison with Comptroller’s Office, Foundation’s Office, and other stakeholder entities for day to day operations. Candidate will have supervision responsibilities of up to two (2) full-time employees and a graduate assistant. This position is in a leadership role. Being able to work with the public daily is of the upmost importance.
Candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat software. Preferred experience in QuickBooks, Analytics, Louisiana Tech University Operating Systems, and Human Resources.
