Louisiana Tech University is seeking candidates for an Assistant AD for Marketing. Full-time, 12-month position with benefits. Position reports to the Executive Associate A.D./External Affairs. Qualification include: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Candidates must have at least two years of marketing experience in a Division 1 athletic program. Candidates must possess excellent oral and communication skills, as well as organization and time management skills. A commitment to athletic and academic success and a strong working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations are also required.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and promotions plan for the Department of Athletics; Direct all advertising outlets, including print, radio, TV, billboards, social media, etc.; Development and implementation of a comprehensive ticket sales plan for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball; Conduct research and analyze data on an annual basis to develop ticket plans and revenue projections; Produce, plan, edit and create marketing and promotions for the athletics website and social media outlets; Plan and direct event and game management activities for all Louisiana Tech University home athletic events, including special events, anthem performers, halftime acts, and giveaways; Work closely with Learfield Sports on fulfillment of corporate sponsorship requirements; Coordinate and direct all aspects of Kids Club, including promotions, solicitation, and membership benefits and management; Supervise Athletic Marketing Assistant, Director of Video Operations/Creative Services and interns/student workers; Prepare budget recommendations on an annual basis; Monitor expenditures throughout the year to ensure fiscal responsibility.
