Pending budgetary approval, the Program of Mathematics and Statistics at Louisiana Tech University anticipates filling multiple tenure track positions, commencing September 1, 2018. Applicants should have research interests related to Statistics.
The Program of Mathematics and Statistics is housed in the College of Engineering and Science, whose vision is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. The College is experiencing significant growth and is undertaking an aggressive faculty recruiting campaign to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. The Program of Mathematics and Statistics offers a B.S. and an M.S. degree in Mathematics and is a major participant in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Computational Analysis and Modeling. The successful candidate is expected to teach Statistics in the College’s interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate curricula and to establish an externally-funded research program. Candidates must possess excellent teaching and research credentials as well as a Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics or a related field by the start date. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Most research activity in the College is focused around multidisciplinary research centers.
