Meat Science Laboratory Assistant Supervisor

Louisiana Tech University School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry is seeking a full time Meat Science Laboratory Assistant Supervisor.  The Meat Science Laboratory is a state inspected, fully operational livestock slaughtering and meat processing facility.  The Laboratory is utilized in teaching, research, and service to the University and the local community.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation of the Laboratory, including meat cutting, supervision of student employees, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and faculty and staff in the School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry.  The ability to work in a multidisciplinary university setting is expected.

Experience in meat processing and demonstration of integrity and professionalism in a team environment are required. Commitment to quality assurance, humane livestock handling, and accurate record keeping skills are essential. B.S. degree in Animal Science or related area is preferred.  Review of applications will begin on June 1, 2018 and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
